Poppy & Nanny Visit

Grandma & Grandpa Visit

The Edmonds' Family

Everyday is a New Adventure

Grandpa & Grandma came over for a visit during the girls half-term break in May. We decided to take them on a road trip through part of England.

We started the trip in Woodstock with a visit to Blenheim Palace (birthplace of Winston Churchill). After a night there, we ventured to just outside London. We took the train into London for a day to see the sights. They enjoyed a ride on the London Eye, a visit to London Tower where we saw the changing of the guards. We also went to LegoLand in the rain -- I never thought I would do that, but the girls had a blast!

We went to see the Queen's favorite palace, Windsor Castle and made it just in time for the changing of the guards which is exactly like the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace.

After touring Windsor Castle, we got back in the car just in time to travel to Warwick in one of the worst rain storms I have seen. In Warwick, we went to see Warwick Castle where the knights from the House of York and the House of Lancaster were fighting. The House of Lancaster won! On their final day in Shrewsbury, Tony took his parents into town to see the Shrewsbury Castle and some "famous" landmarks such as Fish Street and Grope Lane.

We enjoyed the time that they were here, although the time went by quickly.
